As of January 2024, the Climate Crisis Resilience Fee comes into effect. According to article 30 of Law 5073/2023 by the Greek government, the guests of a 3 Star Hotel are obliged to pay the amount of 3 € (euros) per room/per night at the front desk of their accommodation upon arrival.
The fee aims to support sustainable initiatives and infrastructure development to mitigate the impacts of climate change on tourism and enhance the resilience of local communities and ecosystems.
