The first stop of the excursion is at Achilleion, which is the palace of Empress Elizabeth of Austria (Sissi) and it is located in the village of Gastouri. The palace was designed by the famous Italian architect Raffaele Caritto, representing an ancient Phaeacian palace. The central theme of the palace is Achilles, the hero from the Greek Mythology and this is the reason why it was named after him. The central piece of the gardens in Achilleion is the sculpture of Dying Achilles, created the German Sculptor Ernst Herter.

The next stop is at the famous area of Kanoni, where the Mouse Island and Vlacherna church can be found. Being the trademark of Corfu, the impeccable views of the church right opposite from the Mouse Island (known in Greek as Pontikonisi) make it a great spot for photographs.

No excursion in Corfu would be considered complete without visiting the heart of the island, Corfu Town. Dominated by two fortresses, one can admire the uniqueness of the Unesco protected old town with the Venetian architecture, the narrow alleys, the palaces, the prestigious churches like the Saint Spyridon’s church and the local delicacies’ shops.

The last stop of the excursion is at Paleokastritsa, one of the most beautiful places in Corfu. Located in the northwestern part of the island, it features a wonderful coastline with clear, turquoise water beaches, beautiful landscapes and a charming monastery on the top of the hill. Here you can enjoy free time and visit the monastery or hop on a boat in order to admire the caves and the unique formation of the rocks.

A tour in a kumquat factory is also included in the excursion where visitors can witness the process as well as purchase their favorite souvenirs from Corfu.
